Morris MuseumMorris Museum
The Morris Museum creates opportunities for lifelong learning, discovery, and creativity, driven by the contemporary interpretation of its Guinness Collection of Mechanical Musical Instruments and Automata, as well as its general collections. The performing arts add further unique perspectives and dimensions of interpretation. The Morris Museum is the only Smithsonian Affiliate in the State of New Jersey and is honored to fulfill its role of bringing Smithsonian resources to the state. The Morris Museum upholds the highest standards of artistic excellence, educational innovation, fiscal responsibility, community engagement, audience impact, and leadership in the arts, education, and cultural community. CLOSED ON MONDAYS & TUESDAYS. The pass allows 2 adults and up to 3 children. This pass is for Mendham residents only (with library cards).


Montclair Art Museum
Enjoy a fine art display at the Montclair Art Museum. Passes are available Friday – Sunday and include two free adults and all children in the household.


FosterfieldsFosterfields Living Historical Farm
Experience farm living as it was done over 100 years ago at Fosterfields Living Historical Farm. Visit the farm animals and help perform daily tasks, such as collecting eggs, grinding corn to feed the chickens, and churning butter. Pass is for General Admission only and not valid for special events, programs, or workshops. Maximum of 2 adults and 3 children per pass. Fosterfields is open Wednesday through Saturday, 10 am to 4 pm (last farm entry at 3 pm). Please call the library to reserve a pass and get additional details. This pass is for Mendham residents only (with library cards).


Cooper GristmillMorris County Historic Sites
Visit Historic Speedwell in Morristown and/or the Cooper Gristmill in Chester!

Historic Speedwell in Morristown: Experience life in Morristown during the Industrial Revolution and the dawn of modern communication. This historic site includes the 1860s Vail House and the Factory Building, where the telegraph was first publicly demonstrated by Samuel Morse and Alfred Vail. Historic Speedwell is open Thursdays & Saturdays, 10:00 am – 4:00 pm.

Cooper Gristmill in Chester: The 1826 Cooper Gristmill is one of the last operational historic mills in the area. Visitors experience simple machines, renewable power, and industrial progress as educators demonstrate how the site operated over a century ago. Cooper Gristmill is open Fridays & Sundays, 10:00 am – 4:00 pm. Pass is for General Admission only and not valid for special events, programs, or workshops. Maximum of 2 adults and 3 children per pass. Please call the library to reserve the pass and get additional information. This pass is for Mendham residents only (with library cards).
